Next month, the U.S. administration plans to sponsor a peace summit between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Whether it will truly bring peace is an open question.
Today, Benny Elon, a member of Israel's Knesset, unveiled his own peace proposal called "The Israeli Initiative."
Elon, who also serves as the head of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, believes this proposal will address some of the underlying, systemic problems of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
He mentions the three main pillars of his proposal in this video clip from today's press conference.
For decades Israel has sought the proper road to peace, only to be disappointed time and again from the bloody results of the paths that were chosen. They were not mistaken in striving for peace, but only in the way they set out to achieve it. If you would like to know more, you can log onto their website at www.Israelinitiative.com.
